I always putt from level with the couch towards the TV end, a beanbag acts as a nice backstop and I putt over a 5p for my line ( advice from GM mag last summer).

I know the break very well now, always left to right about half a ball over 5 feet.

parquet and tile floors thoughout in our new house so HID bought me a putting mat for my birthday, can only putt up to about 6ft, but those are the ones that count.

I particularly like the dinky bunker and water hazard :p

Putting towards the TV mine's a right to left.

Depending on how close I go to the armchair it can vary from 1 to 5 inches.

It usually takes a while to reomve loose impediments from the line as well, cornflakes, lego, crisps, etc.

but its got adjustable borrows ;)

The contourable LinksPutt indoor putting greens can be assembled in minutes - no screws or fastenings of any kind. Up/downhill, left/right/double breaks, valleys or swales - LinksPutt can replicate them all. Set the movable stance board to match the contours - "feel" the slope of the green beneath your feet.

also use it for chipping practice :)

from the front door toward the kitchen the hall has a nasty break to the left as it passes the bedroom.
putting the other way this break is taken out of play but it breaks right as it nears the front door

I've got one of those putting mats in one of the bedrooms which I use now and again. Our house was built in 1850 so the floors are not strictly flat. We have a longish hallway and could use this for long puts if a wanted as its about 50 feet from the front door to the bottom of the banister ( use this as the target). Far to much break in it and the carpet must run at about 15 on the stimp meter, so far to quick for this time of year. :D
