Which County has the Least Well Respected Golf Courses

For a cheap pay and play course I think it has one of the best in the country at Thorpe Wood.

Leicestershire is totally bereft of top courses.
Just did a quick search on Google and on the "top 100 golf courses of the world" site under Leicestershire it lists for the top 3, Luffenham Heath, Longcliffe and Stapleford Park.
How many people outside the area have even heard of those?
As mentioned above, there are a few decent courses in Notts but those and Woodhall Spa aside the East Midlands is not the place to be if you're a course connoisseur.

Burnham and Berrow is probably the best known this way but apart from that i dont think we have another top 100 club
The Berkshire, Wentworth, Sunningdale, Bearwood Lakes, West Hill, Woking, Worplesdon for starters all within 20 miles. They will do for starters
