Which Club manufacturer shall I choose?

I think Ping make the best woods for club golfers.

The Rapture woods are excellent. Get one from eBay and you won't be disappointed. Unless it is a Chinese fake of course.

I don't know about anyone else, but having been to the London Golf show this really isn't the ideal environment to be trying anything with a mind to buy. I would rather go to a club pro or independent fitter with a decent range and try as many as I could without making a decision on a manufacturer in advance

I bought the callaway x hot pro 13.5 deg on Saturday and played 36 holes on Sunday. It has a shorter shaft than the normal version, so its the same length as my mashie fw.

I use it off the tee primarily and it is very long. Well worth a look at the 15deg version if using from the deck.

Prices coming down too

this! that envirionment is to promote and shift product not whats best for you , there is no way i would be buying a club after a hit in a net at an exhibition centre , how would you even know what the ball flight is like!?

so which manufacturer would you choose and why?

Adam

if you do decide to go ahead then TM because they should have the widest range of 3W's........and if you don't find one that's right it's only £20 to walk away having gained an understanding of what might be more suitable from another manufacturer.

It's a good point, I may also get some tips along the way. If I'm honest I'm edging towards Callaway, I've never hit a callaway club in any way shape or form.....but like the look of the razr, optiforce, x hot etc....... I still haven't booked a session but am tempted.

I nearly added - with Callaway just behind (more models less versions) ..... :)

I think I look at TM in the same way that I do Apple.... white trash that the "sheep" flock to. It's one of those makes I don't think I could ever see myself owning. No matter how narrow minded/ignorant that makes me :D

I own them because they work the best for me out of all the manufacturers I tried.

I've just booked a 30 minute slot with Callaway. Now, lets see if I can get anywhere near the forum 3 wood yardages..... 330 isn't it?
