The selections are a bit male-centric this year eh... Anybody ignoring Chrissie Wellington in any yearly awards is a bit dim in my view... That woman is just a sporting phenom, and is vastly more deserving than the likes of Amir Khan and Andy Murray... Rebecca Adlington and Beth Tweddle also have a valid argument about their exclusion from the list...

I had a look at the website, she seems like a very dedicated lady !! (why is it called Ironman)
Also I think the issue is the questions posed to the judging panel
'whose actions have most captured the public’s imagination in 2011'
Womens sport just doesn't get enough exposure to capture the public's interest.
The lady in question is obviously at the top of her sport, but I'd never heard of her.
