Where do you position your clubs in your bag?

Not as strange a question as it might seem, as my golf was rained off YET AGAIN today I was taking my clubs out and realised since I was a boy I've had....
Woods near the strap
Putter in same compartment
3-8 iron in 2 compartments below that
9-wedges below that
Not sure why I did it that way as its actually difficult to get a wedge while your carrying the bag.

It would make more sense to invert that order but I think I felt the irons would rub and clatter on the woods graphite shafts.

What order do you use and WHY

In my little carry bag they are just rammed in anyway the go.

There is some sort of order with my powakaddy bag but only as there is 13 slots for them

must admit my graphite shafts are in mint condition after 6 years so its worth doing.

Mine have always been in loft order, I have a 14 way bag and it's set out as:
3w. 1w. 5w
5i. 9i. 3hy
6i. PW 4hy
7i. 56. Pt/ve
8i. 60.

that happens to me, go to get say a six iron and am baffled as to how far it can get from where it started the round.

Mine go in loft order too, just so that the shorter clubs don't bang the shafts of longer clubs as they would if they were below them.

Mine go in loft order,and always go back where they've come from.I don't see the problem with OCD.

I hate 14 divider bags with a passion. In my TM trolly bag, putter and driver front right by the strap, 3 and 5 wood front left. 3H, 4 and 5i behind the fairway woods, 6,7, 8 behind driver, 9 and PW behind long irons and 52 and 58 behind mid irons.

I have a 6 way divider tour bag, mainly because I carry alot of crap around with me when I play because "You never know".

I have my driver top right
3 & 5 wood top left
4,5,6 iron middle left
7,8,9,PW middle right
52*,56*,60* bottom left
Putter bottom right

Nice and simple, just like me

Putter has its own tube outside the main baggy bit.

Ive tried the Jimenez wedge....but the retriever means Im a bit far from the ball

N.B. That particular set-up cannot afford the luxury of a putter. If I use that kit, I'll putt with my 4 iron.
