Have I got a wrong impression, but was he hitting fades mostly on his drives?
I thought he was, and that this is new for him. He seemed to have more control doing it, and that fact that distance is not the "be all and end all "of a fade may have calmed him down somewhat. Plus the added concentration of creating a fade ( for him)?

A pro fade doesn't lose distance. Nicklaus, Woods, DJ, Champ, Koepka all fade it. Rory did switch to a fade, presumably with Pete Cowen's help. He said that the draw is harder to hit with todays equipment. He shoulda joined me yesterday and I would have shown him how to hit the mega draw.

He’s finally realised he was more than long enough off the tee, now he can hit reset and work on his game not chase someone else’s. I see his old form returning but maybe not for another 3 months.
