not to early myself, as i find the dew first thing gets your feet soaked.

But my Brother used to go to Batchwood Hall Nightclub in St Albans with his mates and they would take golf stuff and play as soon as it got light at 4am in the summer. He told me that there weren't always the first on the course either, but that was the 80's.

4:30 for the longest day golf challenge. 5:30 for a knock on my own before work. There is no better time to play the early morning on a summer's day if you ask me

Surprised the club lets you go out and play before a club competition in the morning.

Played early morning before going in to work a few years back. Club eventually stopped play that early so that grrenstaff could get on with their jobs before normal play starts.

We are allowed out before all comps except captains day. Tee is closed half hr before comp first time but only on the proviso that the geeenkeepers have priority.
Played at 5am regular start at 6 when no comp.
It's only just light at 5am at present.

Around 10AM (Once) is the earliest I've ever teed of and I'm not joking, I get up early all week for work and don't see the point to do something I enjoy.

Would like to try 7AMish once to see the course in a different light.

Both my old club and this one have a Famous Grouse event every year (may be a national one). Foursomes format, shotgun start at 6 am then breakfast afterwards and that is the earliest that I have been out. It is actually on Sunday but I decided that it was a bit much this year so giving it a miss.

7.30ish is the earliest. Think I'm turning into an old person though as keep waking at 5am so might get up one of these days and hit the course at sun up...
