Blimey you're going back. I remember my club holding a qualifier each year and Ford giving out free bag tags each year. Vaguely remember there being a free Ford logo golf ball to give to each entrant as well when I was working in the pro shop. The winner of the qualifier went on to a regional event and if I remember rightly those went onto the International teams at the Belfry
Apologies if I have told this on here before but it is a good little story. A guy I used to work with, very straight laced bloke, was doing a training course. As an ice breaker everyone in the room had to say something about themselves that was unexpected. His was he had been naked in a bed with Kim Wilde. The blokes were all very impressed, she was hot in the 80's, and his prestige went up. He added nothing more during the training but afterwards I was sat with him and others chatting and he told them, grinning hugely, that their parents had been next door neighbours and the two of them had been put in the same cot at times as babies as the parents got together. In the summer this had meant full nappies off. Even with the story being slightly different to everyones expectations he was still treated more as 'one of the lads' after this, his stock had risen.
