'What club did you use there?'

Like thats an indicator of what club they should use

When clearly your built like a short version of peter crouch with more fat on a grape, and im ...well, NOT!

When meeting the club's slowest player on the practice green:

"hello lads, I'm joining up with you guys today, hope that's ok"

I find myself saying lots of these things. Nothing worse than being out with someone you don't know in a medal, who's having a stinker! You feel by saying unlucky, great strike too etc your making them feel better ;-) Deep down you want to chuckle.

I much prefer being out with folk I know and laughing at them having a stinker. "what are you aiming over there for?" etc

There's only one word that should never be uttered anywhere near a golfer or golf course and I'm not going to be the one to say it!

"Good shot" - when you've just half fatted a wedge and left it 30+ feet short of the flag/half thinned a wedge 30+ feet beyond the flag

"you've dropped your lipstick" when you leave a 10ft putt 4 ft short! or similar one playing partner pulls out phone and mutters "rooter, its your mrs on the phone, she wants her putter back"

I hear both of them a lot!

"Good shot mate".

When it is said by a 20+ handicapper that you have never played with before and the ball goes nowhere near where you aimed. Just because it has gone 260 yards or hit the green doesn't mean it is always a good shot.

"I'd be happy with that".

Same as above,

Anything negative.

Someone who says "i knew that was going to happen".

People who drag you down with their constant negative comments and criticisms about everything.
