A guy in your fourball is an obvious bandit. He is playing out of his boots. Much better than his handicap suggests.
We are not talking flukey jammy chip ins, or making 30 foot putts that rattle the cup before disappearing like a rat down a drainpipe.
We are talking laser point driving where he hasn't missed a fairway all day, crisp irons shots that stop dead on the green. We are talking chip shots that finish "gimme" length away.
It is obvious he is a ringer.
Do you grin and bear it?
Or do you put a spanner in the works?

I would enjoy watching and give them a boost and then take the piss in a friendly way. I have no real interest in how others play other than hoping they play well. Can you be a bandit in forum meet? do we not know one another too well.

My buddy plays off 18, at the weekend he had 41 points and won Captains day (1st prize Sky Caddie!) much to the chagrin of some of the more established members. Thing is we played with an established member, fierce nice fella, and he stepped in to defend him. As he said it was clear over the 18 holes that my buddy just had a good day, things went for him, he played steady. Nothing spectacular, and had a few awful, truly awful shots. Over 18 holes you just know if someone is having a good day for their h/c or a bandit. The play you describe is Cat 1 stuff, I've played against it and there's no mistaking it. My buddy doesn't arrow drives, maybe the odd iron and is certainly no chip-shot expert, but he's handy enough with the putter and lets face it shooting 14 over isn't exactly bandit country.

My advice would be don't get into a mud-slinging match on the forum, it does no one any good. Just the next time someone organises a meet PM them and advise that they politely decline this forumers request for attendance. If he really is a bandit he can hardly be indignant. It isn't fair to all the honest forumers who turn out for a good game.
