So, I struggle to hit my 4 iron and would rather take my G25 3 Hybrid and choke down on it a touch if the shot calls for a 4 iron, this has led me to ponder my club setup in this area but I'm not quite sure what to do as the Cobra Amp lofts are quite strong.

Current setup:
Ping G25 20* Hybrid
Cobra Amp 4 iron (22*)
Cobra Amp 5 iron (25*)

Option 1 (Cheapest):
Ping G25 20* Hybrid
Ping G25 23* Hybrid
Cobra Amp 5 iron (25*)

Option 2 (Slightly more expensive)
Ping G25 20* Hyrbid
Ping G30 22* Hybrid
Cobra Amp 5 iron (25*)

This requires the purchase of a

Option 3 (Most expensive)
Ping G30 19* Hyrbid
Ping G30 22* Hybrid
Cobra Amp 5 Iron (25*)

I suppose what i'm asking is, would spacing out my lofts to keep in line with the Cobra Amp lofts be beneficial or am I not going to notice a thing and should I just get a G25 4 hybrid?

Answers on a post (card) please.

Personally I don't find 3 degrees between clubs makes a massive difference, I'd be looking at a 24 or 25 hybrid to bridge the gap. Failing that drop the 4i and grip down the 3h as your doing now, keep it simple at the top end of the bag

I guess the most important question is.......do you hit your clubs consistently enough for the gaps to be relevant? I've seen people 'gap' their clubs then hit them +/- 20 yards on any given shot due to inconsistency. If you do hit them consistently then go for your preferred option but if not then I suggest you save your cash.

I'd try and find somewhere where you can try the options on a launch monitor as it may be you'll need a higher loft than 22/23 deg second hybrid to get the gap right.
I wanted to do that last week at my local Direct Golf but was told that they couldn't sell me Ping products and they didn't have a monitor, so I wasn't able to. Next best place is Totally Golf in Harlow but that's a bit of a mission for me.

Totally Golf will charge you for a fitting. I went there 2 weeks ago to try out 3 woods and they wouldn't let me compare with mine unless I paid £30 for a fitting which I did and they ultimately said what I had was fine.

Possibly opt for another hybrid to not interfere with your irons, say 18° then another at 22° and ditch the 4 iron?
But I feel for you, hard when all your lofts seem to be too close together or too far apart
