no issues and its better, I'd like to see a 'Thanks' button incorporated, shows the helpful people and cuts down on posts just saying thanks

When I am signed in the "Welcome to the forum Alex1975" is over the top of the "notifications" section. please move the welcome to the left a little.

Mine is doing exactly the same thing. I'm on Firefox.
Other than that, no problems with the site at all. Took a little while adjusting to it, and menus are a little different, but it's fine.
I especially like the new readers wives section.

I've just got back from a week's holiday abroad and initially thought I'd gone to the wrong site
I must say I'm not a fan of the new smileys but I do like the breadcrumb menus. To be fair vbulletin is the way almost all forums are built and before now the GM one did look a little archaic. It took me a little time to find my way around but I like it. Think it will take a good few weeks of using to actually know what the buggy bits are as opposed to acclimatisation. Spell checking is a nice addition. Hopefully fewer 'teh' instead of 'the'. Sadly it won't eradicate the 'loose' v 'lose' issue 
One thing I don't like is how when you're typing and a long word goes over the end of the box it splits the word rather than knocking it onto the next line.

I order posts by post start time so that the newest posted discussions show at the top. Is there a way to make this the default setting, as every time I leave the site and come back, I have to re-order them?

If you go into settings, then general settings (which is half way down on the left hand side), you will be able to set up the forum exactly as you want it.. and if you click "apply changes" then it should be permanent..

Why does the new forum keep logging me out?
When I click on new posts I get a screen that's only partially populated - with no thread or post info.
Why am I only seeing four threads in the 'arrange a game' section?
I'm starting to get the major 'ump with the new forum - for me it's not very user friendly. Have the changes been brought in to satisfy the iPad users??
As it stands, the forum is now annoying me and, thus, I'd rather go and do something else that annoys me equally - like watch 'Made in Chelsea'!!! Oh - one more complaint - I don't seem to have access to any smilies... :-(

all of these little "teething problems" have been reported on here over the last few days, and ways around them have been found. If you go to your user settings you have ways of doing it. Want more thread showing? Then alter the format to show "show posts from last two days" or something like that.
Keep being logged out? Get rid of your favourite marker, log in again, and then make the new site a new favourite. I kept getting this when the forum first changed. I did as above and have had no such problems.
Take your time and read some of the replies others have given. It really is a doddle. And can't find smileys? They are there mate. Not many of them, but they are there.....

I don't think anyone else has mentioned this, but using the 'go to first unread post' button on a lot of threads it skips a few that I haven't actually read.
It's as if it's 'go to first post that was made after you last logged out, even if there are others that you haven't read because they were made when you were logged in'.

I've tried those but none of those options cover how discussions are displayed...only how posts are displayed within a thread.

I may be being a bit dense here, but I'm not quite sure what you mean. You can change the way posts are ordered within a thread in the settings section but I think you mean something else. Could you make it easier for a wiganer to understand.

As mentioned on another thread, I really like the new Forum but would like to be able to navigate back to the forum(s) from the bottom of a page not just the top. The button marked "TOP" doesn't appear to be working and the Quick Navigation drop down menu doesn't include the Lounge in the options.

If you hover your mouse over the vacant slots on the Quick Navigation box you'll see the Lounge and others that are "missing" are actually there, they just haven't been labelled.
