I was talking to a friend this morning about Nike golf and what they'll do if Tiger decides to retire (not saying he is/isn't/should/shouldn't mind).

Obviously he is their biggest draw at the moment so If he did decide to call it a day do you think they should push a current staff player ie, schwartzel, casey etc. Or would they be better off trying to poach another big name or up and coming star?

They'll do both.
Schwartzel is probably the higher profile due to the Masters win but they'll push established players and then try and lure a very high profile name - which they're probably always trying to do anyway...

Tiger isn't going anywhere for a while. Unless his leg is so badly damaged that it'll threaten his mobility permanently then he'll give a comeback a go at least. While he's still a draw they'll promote him.

Interesting to see the Nike adverts showing the likes of Casey and the other US players though so they are definitely hedging bets and trying to make the others more recognisable. Do they really need a figurehead now anyway. Their products are pretty good and other names like Cally, Ping and TM don't have one out and out brand ambassador
