On second thoughts, having just lost two great friends who didn't have the chance to retire I think I'd go for retire.

Retire now if you can afford it, retirement is great. You only live once.

Good advice, I had two good friends who had carefully planned a happy retirement.
Both never made it.

Visited a guy Tuesday morning who finished work a year ago, now has a brain tumour and six months tops. He had loads of plans.

draw up a bucket list for you and your beloved. Put that at the side of your ? Job in Germany and see which you prefer.

I don't work, ain't had a job for 18+ years, I get by doing a few bits and pieces whilst the wife goes out and earns the money which pays the mortgage/bills whilst I'm sort of here as a housewife/do what I want kinda person.

If you offered me £100K to move to Germany and work it would be a no from me, and that's coming from someone who already has NOTHING, no job, no pension, crap car, tiny house. Sod the money, being able to stay in bed, watch TV, go out for the day, visit friends family any day I want to is priceless!! (imo)

Sure we could all do with a bit more money but I reckon you've got enough already... :cheers:

I'd retire and do what YOU want every day.
