I've had 2 x 48s

The first was back in the days when I didn't even know what stableford points were. It was my first game with the society I play with and I didn't have a handicap, I told them I was probably about 18 and they told me to play off of 23.

The second time was with the same society about 10 years ago. My society handicap had gone to 16 or 17 (society handicap calculations being what they are). I was playing well so I told the handicap sec that if they played me off of 17 I would win. He told me to stop being so cocky. 77 shots later I rode into the clubhouse on my horse and cleaned up.

My best in a club comp is 43 2 years ago when I shot 74 gross off of 11.

In a comp it's 43 playing of 7 - level gross

In a roll up it's 44 playing of 5 - 3 under gross.

Best I've done off whites is 43 (twice, couple of years apart and at different clubs).

Hit a 44 once in a society do off yellows. One of those days where I just knew I'd get up and down from 80 yards in - I came 3rd, beaten by 2 45's!

41 (3 under par) in a non-qualifying competition and think i came 3rd. Nearly all our stablefords are non-qualifying which is a bit irritating.

44 in an unoffcial comp (5 under par). Didn't get any grief for that thankfully, folk were just really complimentary and didn't mention any horses/shotguns/Mexican's...

Glad this thread hasn't asked for the lowest score...

When i started society golf many moons ago i was given a handicap of 24 , i told them i played par 3 a good bit , but it was classed as P&P and didnt count .. ooops

48 points saw me win and cut to 18 for the next comp ..

49 points in that saw me win and cut to 12 .. i didnt win for a while after that ha ha

Had 40 at the weekend off our medal tees , despite bogeying 16 & 18

My best round was towards the end of last year, playing off 16 I shot a 4 over 72 with 4 birdies on the back 9 and two 7's on par 4's in the mix too. Equates to 50 points.

Shot in the 40's a few times, but it's my best round which I remember most.

In a qualifying comp my best has been 42 points - last October on my Birthday. Came 2nd and got a nice end of year cut

A couple of years back I shot 79 to give what would have been a 47 point score in a roll up (11 under HC off 20) - thats my one time breaking 80!

52 pts off 23 hcp a life time ago, last year 45 or 44 (gross 1 over par ) off a 10 hcp. Not done anything similar since, but hey the greens aren't lightening yet and the fairways are still softish ... Plus I need to find my game which I see glimpses of occasionally.

45 off 12 in first time out with that society. Surprisingly not been invited back since as I also won longest drive and both nearest the pins that day.

Drove home about 150 squid up for the day.
