Complete reversal from the other thread.

My regular PP hit a beauty a few weeks back.
Par 3 12th, about 150 yards quite steeply uphill, trees and a path on the left. Skanked his tee shot, hit a tree about 3/4 of the way up the fairway and slowly rolled all the way back down the path. It almost stopped a few times but ended up near the door of pro shop I think.
I've never laughed so much on a golf course, snot everywhere

Captains Day last year, not doing badly, drove into the middle bunker on the left in his pic,
bangorcover-300x87.jpg

Had about 75 yards to back flag position on top tier, thinned it 115 in through the function room door into the skirt of the bar manageress. The one day of the year that the door is open and I found the gap. Ended up scrubbing the last hole and ended with an average score, wasn't allowed to forget about it at the dinner neither.

Mine is more of a mystery but I still think incredibly unlucky.

Finals day of a competition, hit one of the best drives of my life on the 1st, just to the right of centre. Got a small amount of applause from those there and the starter even commented that it was the best he'd seen of the day (I wasn't first off by the way)!

Nobody down there to hit, nobody to nick it, but upon getting down to where it should have been the ball is nowhere. A good 6-7 minutes at least later with 5 people looking, I have to move on with a blob!

Won a regional qualifier at woodhall spa on a corporate golf day last year to play in the final at the Victoria course in Vilamoura. Winner of the final automatically qualified to go on the 2016 final trip to Vegas.
Playing fairly solid front 9, made the turn at 20 pts. Hit a bit of a blocky tee shot on the 11th and wound up in some scrub land...took a 9 iron and just chipped out to the middle of the fairway. Ball hit the 100 yard marker plate and shot through the fairway into the water on the opposite side. Ended up with my only blob of the round, finished with 38pts, tied for lead...lost on count back. That 100 yard plate cost me a free trip to Vegas.

He kept that one quiet. He did say he wasn't playing well and was getting a lesson mind

Royal Cinque POrts meet back in February. Hit a lovely drive up the 11th(?) which was bang on the tiger line just skirting the buinker on the left. Unfortunately my ball smacked into one of the posts holding the anti-trolley rope, bounced hard left into the bunker, and when I got to it I found it wedged between the back lip of the bunker and the rake!

Almost repeat of my post on jammiest shot

Unluckiest was pitching my tee shot on Par3 at Anstruther ( the one after The Rockies) literally millimetres from the right of the hole (so close it 'damaged' the circumference of the hole)

The ball spun around the back of the hole and landed the same distance on the left of the hole.

My brother just laughed....we are no longer close.

Our first par three, about 155 yd, smashed me tee shot and it was right down its neck. Got to the ball on the green which was about 15ft past the hole.
The ball had pitched3/4 of the way over the hole and made a right mess. It was the closest I have ever come to a hole in one slam dunk. To this day I still blame our bozeyed green keeper for putting the hole 1" to the left to much.

A PP had a 40 yd pitch onto the green. My bag was 12 yd left of the pin. The ball went up 50 yd and landed straight in the bottle mesh pocket. I nearly had a heart attack laughing. He did not think it was funny thinking he would be docked a shot.

I hit what initially seemed like a pretty good 2nd shot from the semi-rough with a hybrid at our 8th hole yesterday. Unfortunately there was a big lump of mud adhering to one side of the ball, which caused it veer violently to the right and go into one of the deepest bunkers on the course. I managed to splash it out onto the fringe, hit a pretty good chip and run up the two-tier green to within about 4 feet, but the putt for 5 (and a half in Bogey-Par format) lipped out, so that was a loss. I find Bogey-Par a pretty hard format to play. My net bogey would have at least earned me a point in a Stableford, but was just a loss in Bogey-Par! :(

On the 223 yard par 4 4th at Sudbrook Moor I drove to the back of the green with the pin at the very front, caught my hybrid too well!

The putt stopped practically on the lip, thats like a 90 foot putt for eagle.

Tap in birdie at least.

The first one described (2nd shot on the hole), because it put me into loads of trouble. The last but one putt was also slightly unlucky, because it almost went in and would have got me a nett par for a half in the Bogey-Par competition. :(

One of my unluckiest shots was a second shot laying up to a pond that was before the green.. Was 200 yards to the green so thought just take a pitching wedge and lay up.. Easy chip on for 3.. Nope it hit the down slope and just trickled in the water .

Another unlucky one was par 3 I over hit into the car park and smashed a window of a car aha
