My current one, a 2012 Kia Ceed 1.6TD. It’s reliable, it’s economical and it’s a very comfortable drive.

I drive for necessity, not because I enjoy it. :)

I've been an MX5 gal for some time now and the current is my favourite - RF 2.0 Auto. Had it 3 years an no intentions of changing it which is unusual for me. All I'd get is the same car (exactly) 3 years younger so why bother.

Triumph Dolomite Sprint. Well capable of biting you in the bum if you got it wrong.
A guy at work had one of those. He foolishly tried to race my Taimar one morning, and said the Dolly never ran properly after that.

Since people are posting piccies, here's another of my old cars (built by my own fair hand).
House points to anyone who can identify it:

My second ever car. A Triumph 2000 Mk.1. Lovely engine and I used to love trying to balance the carbs with the kit you could buy from your local car parts shop. Of all the cars I've owned, it's the only one I would actually think about getting one to do up (that and it's sporty cousin, the Triumph Stag).

Slightly different, my favourite motorbike. A Honday VFR750F-J. The first with the gear driven cams. Tonnes of torque, would pull from really low revs to the red line. It could scratch, cruise and even used for riding behind learner riders when I used to teach it.

Current car is best and my favourite, XC60 D5 AWD, 2.4 ltr 5 cylinder twin turbo, comfortable, roomy for 4 people, all the extras despite being 10 years old, can't half shift and makes a great sound

2012 Audi S4. Understated, classy, and 0-60 in 5.0. Loved everything about it. Made me feel happy every time I got in it. Well, loved everything about it apart from the running costs. It drank like Oliver Reed at a free bar. Was doing too many miles per year so had to change it for something a bit more economic.

And then about 7 months later Covid arrived. I've done under 2000 miles in the last 11 months. So wish I'd kept that car or just changed for a newer one. Still considering it.

Loved my first car back in the 70's. A mini 850. Drove it home from Germany on weekend leave 5 times. Was a rough ride and very slow. On an uphill gradient on the autobahn it wold drop down to 50-55mph! Can't remember it bothering me though, but I was in my early twenties!!

My first car was also a Mini 850. Not sure if I ever got it over 50, the speedo was so unreliable. Fun car though, even going slowly.

In my 57 years of driving I've had 37 cars of different makes, Including several Mercs , Audis , Lexus plus a few vans.
I kept my 53 plate Ford Focus for 10 years, not the most exciting car but practical, dependable, cheap and never needed any expensive repairs.

A titanium coloured Lotus Elise. Difficult to get in and out of but great fun to drive. Bought it secondhand, had it about 3 years, and got back pretty much what we paid for it .
A mate of mine had one of these in the early 2,000's, don't know if this was your version. He was living in London and dropped me off after a visit outside a tube station. I went to get out normally, failed. I thought for 2 seconds and then realised I had to crawl out, hands and knees job. People going into the station actually stopped to see what I was doing. If I was more of a showman I would have finished with a ta-da but I'm afraid it was far less elegant. Well played for managing with this car ?

Black Vauxhall VX 220 2.2 na

had a play once with a VW Corrado one morning when I finished off nights. He started it when he smiled at me going by on a roundabout on the A1. Anyway I hit every gear sweet as a nut and passed him. Not saying what speed I got to but the front end got light and I thought ***. Eased off and waved as he went by. It was a fantastic car that ate engine mounts. Your fave car is one you should not of got rid of. Wouldn’t be any good for the golf clubs though.
After that a Corsa VXR was gorgeou, missis Ts car, I bought a Corsa VXR Arctic for myself and it was a bag of crap. It was a car I so much wanted to love.
