My current one, a 2012 Kia Ceed 1.6TD. It’s reliable, it’s economical and it’s a very comfortable drive.
I drive for necessity, not because I enjoy it.

I've been an MX5 gal for some time now and the current is my favourite - RF 2.0 Auto. Had it 3 years an no intentions of changing it which is unusual for me. All I'd get is the same car (exactly) 3 years younger so why bother.
A guy at work had one of those. He foolishly tried to race my Taimar one morning, and said the Dolly never ran properly after that.Triumph Dolomite Sprint. Well capable of biting you in the bum if you got it wrong.
My first car was also a Mini 850. Not sure if I ever got it over 50, the speedo was so unreliable. Fun car though, even going slowly.Loved my first car back in the 70's. A mini 850. Drove it home from Germany on weekend leave 5 times. Was a rough ride and very slow. On an uphill gradient on the autobahn it wold drop down to 50-55mph! Can't remember it bothering me though, but I was in my early twenties!!
A mate of mine had one of these in the early 2,000's, don't know if this was your version. He was living in London and dropped me off after a visit outside a tube station. I went to get out normally, failed. I thought for 2 seconds and then realised I had to crawl out, hands and knees job. People going into the station actually stopped to see what I was doing. If I was more of a showman I would have finished with a ta-da but I'm afraid it was far less elegant. Well played for managing with this car ?A titanium coloured Lotus Elise. Difficult to get in and out of but great fun to drive. Bought it secondhand, had it about 3 years, and got back pretty much what we paid for it .
Your back is better than mine......I went bigger partially so I wouldn't have to bend over painfully at times. My current car mk8 Fiesta ST is absolutely fantastic to drive.
Can't stand large cars myself.
