What do you prefer when it comes to teeing off.Do you like the really early mornings dew still on the ground, still quiet and birds singing.Or are you an 10-2 person,2-6 player or an evening player as the sun goes down, and why?

This is a remarkably reflective post Poker me old mate

Are you well? :D :D

Im a morning person, always have been, always will be,
same with Fishing

The morning mist hanging over the water hazard etc etc

Fragger

Early morning for me, sun just coming up, dew on the grass, greenkeepers hurrying all over the place, empty fairways and a nice quick round, you can't beat it.

Having said that, the 04:30 start in the Macmillan challenge was probably an hour or so early even for me.

There's nothing like teeing off after tea, when you've done everything you need to do that day and you're in no rush to do anything else.
Walking down the 18th at 10pm, with a low sun that shows all the humps and hollows, then in for a couple of pints.
Saying that I'm just about to leave for a 9am tee-time at Montrose medal. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

I prefer brunettes, however golf wise I prefer to play where and when I can.

Being a shift worker I play at any time allowable via my shift pattern or even getting a partner for medals around my shifts etc!!!!

Jobs f____d!

Early morning, mist in the air, dew on the ground, no-one else about...that's the best time to tee off on the first I think.

Best time to walk onto the last is as the sun's setting with no-one behind you on the tee, waiting. Sadly the two rarely happen on the same round!

Well thank goodness for that cos if it happens frequently with you, I'd never take up the offer of a game with you! :D

I'm not a morning person, although I'd rather be out early in a medal than mid-pack with the worst of the heat and the longest round.

I enjoy going round at the weekend around mid afternoon when then mayhem has subsided and you can have a nice relaxed game.

Also the evenings are nice, especially when it's been a nice day.

Defo in the morning, anytime from 5.30am but about 7.30am is perfect, nice and quiet with no hold-ups or pressure from behind, finished for dinner followed by afternoon snooze dreaming of all the birdies made (yeah right!)

I think there's nothing better than a late afternoon into the evening round of golf. The light can be fantastic and the course is usually deserted.

It's just a shame that the late nights don't run all through the year!

Im with region3 on this, roundabout 2 in the afteroon any day
theres nothing like playing a round of golf on a saturday or
sunday with a mate, whos on the same wavelength as you,we dont worry about the score, have a couple of pints ,bliss

During comps I like to get out early, sometime between 7am-9am, any later and things start to get held up. I just find it harder to play when the round is all stop\start.

If I'm out for a quiet round on my own I really like early evening when the course is practically empty so I can move at my own pace, drop a few balls and practice some shots etc.

With m8's I don't mind anytime really, mid afternoon if I had to choose.

Late morning or early afternoon for me.
It gives my back more time to loosen up.

Afternoon for me.Nice and quiet on the front 9 and i usually play a little better later on in the day.

That said i just back in from 18 now 6.30 tee off.
It was nice to play with no one there but my score was not too pretty

What you tallking about. I had my best round of the season at 4.30am. I am just happy to be able to play so anytime is a good time for me

As someone who struggles to talk to the Dog at 7am, let alone feel loose enough to swing with any kind of fluidity, I much prefer a late morning or early PM tee time for a Medal, or socially, I just love a late afternoon/early evening Tee off, before a beer or 2.

Got to be early morning, no question.

The earlier the better. Finish just in time for lunch with a nice cold crisp beer overlooking the 18th

Perfection. :D
