What do you prefer?

The best time at ours is about 10.30 on a Saturday, after all the people who can't sleep at night are well on their way round. Or even Saturday afternoon, millionaires golf totally deserted.

Nice evening chillout after work would be ideal for me. I love the peace and quiet after a days work.

However.......

SWMBO doesn't agree with that, so I go home instead.

Just so I can sit and watch her enjoying Corry.

Me ?

Under the thumb ?

Too bloody right

I prefer mornings but I get to play all times and late morning works well - our course is quiet then so you can go round at your own pace.

Either

Early (ish) morning 6-8am before anything else in the day has had chjance to stress me out. If i play late afternoon i find my game suffers as everything that has happened in the day effects things.

or

late after a right [****] day when its cooled down after a blistering hot day.

Mid-day golf just seems to tuin the day, if its mid day you cant do nothing in the morning because you have to be committed to turn up, have to finish early as you normally have night plans, it has to be early or late.

I like playing early morning when its a competitive round, i'm a morning person and find it easier to focus on my game and i also like to get finished and still have time to do other things that day.
I prefer to play only nine holes in the evening and have a friendly game without playing for a score, nice way to unwind after a long day.

I'd always take late afternoon if I could. I always play better later in the day. I expect it's the 80 range balls and garden practice I can fit in before that helps. :)

This is a remarkably reflective post Poker me old mate

Are you well? :D :D

Im a morning person, always have been, always will be,
same with Fishing

The morning mist hanging over the water hazard etc etc

Fragger

Very nice image Phil!
As a teenager i was big into my coarse angling here in Ireland.....Me and my mate used to get up before sun up and cycle to our venue that day and ill always remember the smell of heather in the air and the morning dew on all the cobwebs as we cycled the canal path to the pond we used to fish....Creeping up on this place the mist would be rising off the the water which was like a mirror and we knew we'd be in for a day to remember......Returning home with the thighs of our pants full of slime and groundbait....Those were the days.... :cool: :cool: :rolleyes:

I dont really mind what time i get out for a round as long as there aren't 4 muppets holding us up and not calling us through.....
If i had my choice it would normally be before 10 though as at least your not gone for the day that way and HiD's is not on your case afterwards..... :D :D

the early morning mist over the lake, broken only by the splash of the first lost ball of the day;
the peace of a hot, still day when the bar's crowded as they all jostle for space 'cos some duff soccer match (arsenal or someone) is on;
the cool tranquillity of an evening, squinting into the sunset to spot the tee-shot off the 15th;

it's all bliss
