Just wondering what people here munch on during a round. Personally, if I'm playing the Par 3 course with my son, I just take a bottle of water, but for a full 18 holes I'll have something to snack on, be it fruit, a flapjack or something else.

What's your choice of food & drink, and why?

always take a banana with me, a bottle of water and some chewing gum!

Two bottles of water.. One for each 9.....

Unless its really warm then maybe a ice cold coke from the vending machine at the 10th....

No food....

I always take a banana. It's funny, I normally don't even like bananas much, but during a golf round I find it a great source of energy. It is supposed to be high in magnesium as well, which is good for the muscles and for the brain, so I gues it can't be wrong. I also like to pack nuts, which make a great snack whenever you are standing on the tee waiting for your playing partners to hit their shots etc. I try to eat some nuts at least every third hole. My mum always takes whole grain cheese sandwiches and I sometimes munch one of those as well (I am just too lazy to prepare them myself when I go out to play on my own).

I try to avoid sugary snacks, even muesli bars and the like, because I find they make my blood sugar level spike and then crash, leaving me hungrier than before and slightly shaky. For the same reason I don't take any softdrinks or fruit juices either but just stick with water for drinking.

I buy goody bags for the grandchildren. Nobody is very fond of the Milky Ways or Chomps so they all go in the golf bag & get handed round. I also sometimes buy Asda Chicken Tikka pasties, delicious & just a nice couple of mouthfuls. In the winter someone often has a hip flask with whisky or sloe gin.

nope, almost never eat during a round. do take a drink with me but always forget to have any of it so sometime a bottle will last weeks

Mars Bar, sadly much smaller than they used to be, or a Kit Kat chunky. Water. I used to do Lucozade but the shear amount of sugar in them has put even me off.
