So I've come to the realisation that I have turned into a boring sod at 27.

I used to socialise a lot more but have drifted away from most of my friends growing up and I don't drink any more which has meant bars and pubs aren't as interesting. Me and the wife will Potter to somewhere on a weekend for some food or a browse and I will play the odd round of golf a couple of times a month but other than that... not much.

So, what do you all do of an evening or during your non golfing time at the weekend?

Luckily we have the weather to pop to the beach for a couple of hours or meet friends to socialise etc outdoors on a regular basis (but even then most of the time its food/drink etc after golf or if it’s not a golf day then it’s still with the same people I play golf with)

Certainly socilaise far more than I ever did in the UK simply because the climate suits it better but I’m still boring, whenever I think about doing something or going somewhere I invariably work out the costs and then say to myself I could play x number of rounds for that…. And then go and play golf

So in answer when not working, other than golf, I don't do much of anything

Loads of Gardening, love being outside and watching plants grow. Then a lesser amount of tennis, walking, modernising the horrible house, table tennis, cycling.

fishing ,or more precise match angling .i enter opens and club matches as often as time and money allows ,golf comes first as its harder to keep up unless i put the hours in on the course or driving range.I also play pool for a local pub .

Work + 10 hour days usally + some Saturday mornings

Evening Tennis Doubles x 2 times week over the winter once a week summer as golf with chaps from work in summer

Cycling - fair weather went out on Saturday 1st time this year 20 miles intend to do more this year as getting back into it

Driving my 2 seater sports car in summer

Watching TV/Films in front of open fire in winter months

I also have a cross trainer and spinning bike at home for exercising generally in morning before going to work

BTW I'm over twice as old as Danny

Watch TV in the evenings, sport or Sky shows, etc.

Weekends - car wash and detailing. Football (kids) coaching. Go to live Watford games and/or watching Sat/Sun sport. Play with my boys.

At 46 family is a huge thing for me. Been married for 22 years and adore my wife and kids.

I play tennis and mountain bike but love my golf - play it, watch it, read about it, buy and sell bits

Even have the two kids taking lessons now!

Generally work 7.30-4pm then 5-8 spent with the wife and kids (2 month and 2 year old) then we'll sit down and watch a bit TV or I'll have a walk out for a pint/watch the football. Weekends are spent around the wife and kids during the days bar Sunday morning when I'll get an early 18 holes of golf in.

I have a wife and two kids. Spare time, ha ha ha . I've read about that.

Sounds about right for me, anticipate 2 or 3 rounds of golf per month, otherwise when not at work or running the kids about to various activities the house is a bit of fixer upper so that takes up more time than I thought it would, spent all of Sat and most of Fri just past decorating for example, need to do some firewooding to keep the stove stocks up as I hate buying it. Hate grass cutting but someone has to do it...me. Garden is intentionally fairly low maintenance though.

Dont sleep well due to various ailments so feel tired a lot of the time which doesn't lend itself to getting out and about when spare time does avail itself, can couch potato a bit to be honest. Internet - here, bbc sport, any news sites, golf shops and ebay get way too much attention alas.

I work 12 hour nights, wife works 12.5 hour days, we have 2 children and dont pay for child care so if im not sleeping due to work, im with the kids as the mrs is at work. Any rare spare time i do get, il try and play golf or go out for a blast on the motorbike but thats sold now so just golf at the mo.

Im a Scout Leader and an Archery Instructor, which is why im a 5 day golf member,
also still have 2 daughters at Uni, so trips to Leeds and Brum are common

Sometimes I work :)

Walking, birdwatching, going to gigs when I can.

Great Bustards, Lou heard there making a come back. 👍 Not a twitcher but would love to see one. One of my crimes was bird nesting as a kid.

Anyway, Golf, walking, watching the City, Grandkids they give me a great deal of satisfaction apart from Layla tash trying to wake the estate up at 4 am this morning. Odd sense of humour that one. Wonder where she gets it from.
Holidays and travel.

Edit to say when typing this out why does the spell check correct to Grandkids they give me a great deal of stiff action. The flippin rozzers will be knocking on me door.

Since retirement, I have been like a kid let lose in the sweet shop doing exactly what I want to do. After 36 years of long hours and reading what some poor sods do on here. I now know how that pit pony feels like having two weeks holiday gorging itself on green grass and being dragged back underground. I ain't goin back underground/ to work.
