Another nightmare round, shank city, must have hit 6 or 7 of the litlle !@**?#s, two off the tee on par three holes, they're starting to get to me.

Weird round yesterday. Had a complete airshot on the 3rd tee, clubhead never got anywhere near the ball - can't remember the last time that happened. Followed that with back to back birdies on next 2 holes, then faffed about, mainly on the greens, to struggle to 30 points.

Played on Saturday in our usual lads group.

Off 4 with that group and took the £30 kitty (for second week in a row ) with 37 points.

Striking the ball really well at the moment, had a number of putts that just missed or lipped out but can't be unhappy the way I'm playing.

Since I've started looking for a MP630 driver I've never hit my 910 D3 so well! Saved myself a few quid there....

Shot 29 points in the Captains Drive In two club and putter comp yesterday. Not the best, putting was awful, but top points in our fourball so didn't feel too bad, with 3 blobs too.

Shot 2 over (31pts off 7 ) for 13 holes yesterday , and bogeyed the last stupidly . lipped out or touched the hole with putts at least 5/6 times .. happy enough with swing for early doors in the year.

Couple of nice photo's! Golf was pants, infact it was a joke we were even playing. The course was rock solid from start to finish, reckon it will have done some damage to the greens.

Winter league pairs, last week we lost 6 & 4, this week 5 & 4.

shot 30pts. not saying my stroke score though haha.. had 2 9s and an 8 today though as the wind was a heller and doesnt help that i swing like an idiot and putt like a moron at times. Missed 2 good birdie opertunities as well.

It seems that the enforced break from golf over the Xmas period has done me some good. Had 3 weeks without playing then shot 38 points last week and this week. The driver is going very well (except on the first tee where I have hit massive pulls both weeks) and that is being backed up by the new hybrid and 3 wood (Mizuno JPX range, I love you), the new irons are fine if a bit under used and the putter is as solid as ever.

Looking forward to next month where it looks like I will have 2 courses to play.

Scored 35 points today in the drawn stableford. Should of been 37 but could not find my ball in the first cut of rough!. Two blobs though also hurt my card along with numerous fat shots. I also need to remember the new hybrid goes straight not right so aim straight you stupid boy. I can feel that sub 90 round is in me somewhere just need to cut out the silly errors. Oh and the winner had 46 points off a 15 hcap!.

Was going out for the first round of the year with brother visiting.... but everywhere was frozen solid until about 2.30 this afternoon, when some grass started to thaw. That's a bit late to start a round.

Far too many again although decided to to give my pro another £3 in the stableford comp!! On the plus sides as the course was frozen my pitching had started to come back online, putting respectable and ball striking a slight improvement!! A splatter of decent drives and plenty of pants ones!! Really need to get sorted before the summer! Also first proper outing with my new fourball! It's only a game after all!

31 pts off 7 (2 over) in 13 hole winter league again, another coulda been card ha ha , hitting the ball great so cant complain, got all my ironds regripped this week & the guys reckoned this helped , shot the same score last week with the old grips so cant claim that one ..

Hit the range as we were on temps again and I didn't see the point of playing. Wish I'd done just that. One of those horrid sessions where you know you are working on the right things, being diligent to set up and practice swings but come the proper shot it just isn't happening. It wasn't far off and I know what the issue is but everything was just that nagging 10% off that meant shots were either not as sweet as I'd like or wandered a fraction off line (would have been greenside bunker). I know its in there so we'll wait and see what happens midweek when I hit the range again. If its still off I might get a refresher lesson. Its a big change going to this one plane swing and perhaps the initial results have given me a false sense of achivement and I've hit a plateau until I get some more help.

Played really well on Saturday.

Glorious day, tee'd off just as the frost had gone, course in pretty good nick and went round in 3 over par (75). Course was playing quite long (no temp tee's, greens or roll!) and was hitting my irons really well. Putting is still a bit of a joke, may be an ad in the For Sale section again before too long ....

A happy camper all round.
