Well been playing a few rounds with the my R11s. I used a Srixon Z-star to start with and have tried a ProV1 also. Hit some distance balls also. Problem I keep getting is that they all seem to sound like breaking glass when I hit them with my driver.

So now trying the Penta TP5, that obviously the R11s was researched and developed alongside. Since using the Penta I am sure it is going further than any of the other balls I have tried, also I have not got that ear piercing breaking glass sound either.

If you have not tried a TP5 with your R11s yet then I would advise you have a go.

Try the TP3's. A bit firmer than the TP 5 and so may give you a bit more distance still

No I am happy with the TP5, hitting it really long now I have started using them and not getting that ear piercing crack when I strike the ball now. I was just wondering more if anyone else was finding the crack from the clubhead a little bit ear piercing?

Try Cally Tour i (s). Soft and responsive around the green without losing distance off the tee.

My ball of choice last year and made a big diff to my scoring

I expect some good deals on them soon now that they have launched teh Cally Hex Black/Chrome as replacements

A few months ago I was at the range and in the next bay there was a fellow trying an R11 or R11s (not sure which). I'm sure that the range roof wasn't helping but this driver made the loudest and worst noise I've ever heard from a driver, it went right through me and made my teeth hurt.

I am using Titleist NXT's and they are flying pretty decently (that's the kiss of death I know).

The sound with the range balls (ours have just switched from Srixon to Nike ones) is a bit tinny but the NXT's sound OK.
