Old clubs you still play with?

My oldest club is a Swilken 60 degree "trouble wedge". I think it might be called a trouble wedge because that's what it's likely to get you into. Paid £15 for it (brand new) about 20 years ago.
Driver is a Mizuno MX700. Must be about 14 years old.

i still have my Scotty studio select thats about 15 years old and the M2 mark1 still in the bag, thats not getting changed anytime soon

My Ram Tom Watson Troon grind 52 wedge got a run out Tuesday and is likely to stay in the bag until all the bunkers have been refurbished. Great off very tight lies and bunkers with solid sand in them. Must be around 35 years old.

I have a Wilson Invex 7 wood from about the same time that gets the occasional run out.

My irons are Cleveland CG7 tour, which I bought new in 2011. I've been talking about changing them for about the last 5 years but they're still in the bag.

I managed to pick up a set of them recently in good to very good condition. Looks like the previous own never got on with the (mainly off the toe hits) and then left them somewhere damp as the shafts were showing signs of pitting. I tried then out with another couple of shafts but I too did not really get on with them.

My Taylor Made TD irons are 1988 ish which I still have. (WISH)
My 12 deg 3 wood is Ping Isi 1998 ish (WISH)
I had the G2 driver which had a crack in the face.
Luckily the nice people at Ping replaced it in 2005 with a new top of the range G5 (WISH)
The following year I got a Ping Rapture hybrid 18 deg WISH
2008 I was given a YES CALLIE putter WISH

SO I guess it's easier to say my newest is the putter at 17 years old.

I've always found old worn grips on putters add to the feel too. Have both had those re-gripped or are they still original?

It had an original cord grip on it that was so worn it still felt good if that makes sense. But last year I put one of the big chunky super stroke grips on it after trying out a friends, some difference it feels brilliant now.

My driver is from 2005, got it 'as new' from Gc4cash in 2023. Putter also from that era (bought in 2010 for 5 dollars at a Goodwill in Los Angeles). Fairway, hybrid and irons all from around 2012. Only my wedges are newish

A Maxfli Revolution exceptional spin 52 degree gap wedge. 100-115 yards and it is my go to club. Everything else quite new but just can’t part with this club.

I had a set way back of Titleist 680 blades, beautiful irons absolutely loved them, just seen Titleist put out a thing today saying they’re re-releasing them limited edition….

3-PW $2000

Currently playing with Callaway Big Bertha Warbird 4,7 and 9 Woods and Arnold Palmer Peerless PHD Irons all of which came out in 1994. Love the smaller heads on the woods and the irons although compact by modern standards have TT Dynalite Shafts that suit my swing well. Not sure what it is about this set up but they just work for me really well. I actually had the Warbirds refinished and repainted so they are now in a nice shiny finish. Sometimes put in a Callaway Biggest Big Bertha Driver in there as well or a 2014 Callaway XHot N14 which for me is only a little bit longer on average.

Together with the Golfworks wedges and putter I built myself during lockdown and having tried nearly every modern club manufacturers clubs in the past five to ten years, it amazes me how well the above simple set up works.

Am now looking at buying a laminated wood Ginty 7 wood thing, from the late 80's.. I have a spot in my bag for a 22-25 degree lofted thing - as I am prone to hooking my hybrid off the planet
