Beat my 14 year old gross
Kick his ass in Florida next week

Copperhead, Island, Waldorf Astoria, Celebration already booked
HID agreed 9 games in 2 weeks
Don't you just love life :)

Good thread. For me:

1. get handicap as low as possible (would be thrilled with getting down to something like 3 one day but fear I'll lack the time and ability to do it.

2. Break par - hopefully more than once.

3. Keep enjoying playing and improve the mental side of things.

1. Play golf for as many years as I can

2. Have fun playing golf

I can safely say both are well on track!

Anything beyond those two is a bonus.

My golfing ambition is to join a club where towels are provided and you can play a round at the course with your dog in tow. In fact I can safely say that if I can't be accompanied by one of my dogs when I play a social round then there is no way I will join. These criteria in my experience are shared amongst the best courses I have ever played. Near me, that means I could join West Sussex, Royal Ashdown, Piltdown, Rye or possibly Crowborough. Further afield but commutable would be West Hill, Worplesdon, New Zealand, Hankley Common, Sunningdale or The Berkshire.

Walking around with a dog precludes me from joining the following: Devils Dyke, Pyecombe, Worthing, East Sussex National or further afield, Wentworth.

Proves my point really.

My other ambition is to have a hole in one. I haven't managed it in 30 years of golf, 25 of which have been at Cat 1. Been ridiculously close 3 times but never done it.

To score par or better on a good course
To get another hole in one
To play at the most famous courses in the world
I like the idea of getting on a club board too
Being satisfied with the equipment I've got for more than a week :)

Lowest handicap possible .. aim this year was 9 down to 7, (currently 7.9.. have twice been on the brink but no joy ...)

Id love to play a round of golf with a tour pro , or play in pro comp conditions , just to see ..

To have the time & money to practice , just to see how good / not so good i could be ..

Mostly tho to be competitive & to enjoy my golf ..

How high is the sky.. loads of ambition, very little time, skill or money to chase it.

Single figures HC, Ace, be on Tour, under par...

Seeing the quality of 'athletes' that were part of the Indian Olympic team, I am tempted to represent India in the Rio Olympics :):ears:

.

i quite like the idea of being able to bring the dog out with you too walk around for 9 holes. i dont own a dog but it would be sure nice to play whilst having mans best friend for company. if he could sniff out the ball in the rough then you would be onto a winner. he would need to be well behaved. no running after balls, digging holes, barking and stay off greens then i would have no problem.

there are worse behaved members out there! :ears:

Goal is to play consistent golf - and pay attention to what the pro tells me instead of slipping back into bad habits!!!
