Hi I've posted before but got side tracked with work. But this year defo the year. Looking to join a club on west coast I'm based in Kilmarnock about mile from rowallan castle but willing travel upto 20 minutes. So where everyone's suggestions?

Will get you down for a game to see what you think of it if you fancy it.

All the locals will plump for their courses so if I was you I'd as many of them as you can before making a decision. I'm sure others here will offer you a game.

You have lots of great courses close by , depends on you budget really.

Budget of about 500. Still right side of 30 so qualify for discounted membership most places. I last joined club in 2013 and last handicap was 20.2

Loads of great courses, but if you're a mile from a golf course, I'd plump for that. It can get a bit wet there over the winter, but you could consider getting a winter membership at the Troon muni courses, which remain fully open.

can't give advice on specific course ( though Fabio's is pretty good) i would go for a links course. 12 months golf, thats value for money.
