I was checking my EG app this morning for a handicap update when I noted that after one more round I have 9 consecutive non counting scores coming up. I don't have a single counting score from 2024, not one .

Clearly not a good scoring year / period for me .

Anyone have anything similar?

I've just come off a stretch of 9 non-counters and it's not that unusual for me.
Being a streaky scorer I can go, as I have done, 9 rounds without breaking 80 and then chuck 3 or 4 75s in for a laugh before reverting to 80+.
Been like this since I started playing over 30 years ago.

Yep. I had 9 in a row and the last non scorer comes off tomorrow. I had a good run and got my h/c down to 4.6.....then went to crap and have had to live with that low handicap for waaaay too long. Went to hit a bag of balls this morning....still crap. I turn in a couple of cards most weeks, so that 9 in a row just kills me for a month or so.

As it stood yesterday before I played, I had 6 non counting scores in a row, but that's only because all my good ones are now stacked at the front.

Not me, my scoring is erratic so my counting rounds are spread acroos my 20.
Jamie had a run of 7 non counters in Friday but that will be down to 4 after today - he played 36 yesterday and is out again this morning .

All eight of my counting scores are in my last ten rounds. It's an nice to know that, for the next ten rounds, the handicap can only improve (or stay the same).

For me, it was largely the wet weather making courses longer. We are pretty much on the same coastline so maybe wind came into it as well. I just mainly remember it being wet underfoot for so long

Still remarkable, or horrifying, that I've none at all from an entire season.

The oldest score in my 20 is 11th Feb 2025

Not to brag but...the oldest in mine is May 19th.....and I bet someone has a later date for their 20...

My club doesn't run qualifiers from beginning of October to beginning of April. It's a 6 month season and I'm still working so it's largely weekend golf only, certainly in terms of competition cards.

Factor in holidays, weekends away, bad weather, other stuff........I get in between 8-12 comp cards per year. This year will likely be more because the weather has been so good but I still doubt I'll reach 15.

Yeah I don’t bother with GP scores anymore at my home club , only scores in now are comp scores and any open scores

Why are you not interested in gp scores?

More hassle than they are worth, pre registering and I don't see the point when I generally play enough comps.
Most of my out of competition play is match play or balls ups where we play for speed and convenience and most RoG are followed but not all.

10 of them are in Opens , the English Seniors and Welsh Seniors.
