Having been back playing for 2 years after a 15 to 20 year break due to lack of interest,I recently joined a local golf club playing at a local council run course.

I put 3 cards in over a week to gain an official handicap to enable me to play in my club competitions.Never having played the course of the whites tees (always of the yellows) I was pleasantly surprised to come out with a handicap of 12.

With a bit of effort hopefully that might come down

great starting point, you obviously havent forgotten much in your break. Few good rounds and single figures is not far away. Enjoy!

Alot on here would kill for that handicap so effectively starting again with 20 years rust that is very good. Best of luck mate. Let us know how you get on in the future.
