Guys and dolls.
After playing in the rain this weekend,im seriously considering
wearing two FJ rain gloves.
As my bag was not waterproof the grip of the club coming out of
the bag was wet.
My right hand was trying to grip a wet club and i was losing grip.
Does anyone use two gloves?
Is it comfortable?
And woud you recommend it.
Why do golf brands not push for more wearing of two gloves?

Not in the wet, but I do wear 2 FJ Wintersof gloves when it's very cold.

It is a little strange to begin with but after a while you forget it's there. As for rain gloves, never owned a pair so I couldn't help. Sorry PJ.

My current bag is waterproof so I just give the grips a good drying off before they go back into the bag.

Particularly with the newish MC grips you find a great grip with the left hand but its not good with the right.

The new FJ rainglove by co-incidence is one I will be buying two off for just that reason as they are excellent in the wet

Yep - always carry L & R "rain grip" gloves for the worst of the weather. Recommended as you don't need to worry about letting the club slip and I have had some cracking returns in bad conditions.

Two drawbacks come to mind:
- I take them off to putt, and it's tricky to get them on & off when wringing wet
- after a couple of hours with cold, wet hands they get painful sometimes

Finally, I think the Mizuno gloves are far better than the FJ ones. Used to wear one of both, but ditched the FJ.

I've got a pair of these, they are similar to Macwets

I'm not really a fan. It feels weird wearing 2 gloves especially as they have a padded ridge in the palm. They do allow you to grip in the wet but you run the risk of hypothermia as they make your hands really cold !! It has to be pouring down before I put them on.

Also got one of these, a Hirzl Trust Control Kangaroo Leather Golf Glove

it's pretty good in the dry/wet and has lasted ages

(serious question) have you (or anyone else) tried marigolds ?

Have Macwets (they come as a pair). Work very well in the rain, the only problem is that you effectively have two wet hands for the entire time you are wearing them. Basically stick your hands in a puddle as soon as you put them on as they are most effective when wet. Not good in cold weather as wet and cold makes it uncomfortable, you can't get your hands warm at all, but in warmer weather, they work very well.

No never tried marigolds,i would have thought they would be slippery when wet.
Im definately going to give the two gloves a go.

Another vote for Macwets. Don't usually wear one glove, never mind two!!
But over this winter I have played quite a bit in the rain and think they are brilliant. Grip was amazing. I used to be really put off when it rained, fed up trying to dry grips etc, but now just keep them all round, even to putt.
The only downside is your hands can get cold.

Wore my MacWets yesterday..they were superb. The latest model is a lot lighter and thinner than the older onesand the top of the wrist section is now meshed so they dont retain as much water.

Kept them on all the time, even when putting. Every few holes just clench the fists tightly to squeeze out excess water and give them a quick wipe on the towel, this way the hands dont get too cold.........I also used my winter mitts over the top which helped.

I don't wear gloves in the dry at all...

But when its really wet I use a pair of latex surgical gloves...

Very low score on looks but a very high score on grip...

I get them supplied free at work ;)... But can be got for way less than a fiver for 100 gloves...

I would have thought that marigolds or latex gloves would grip the club fine but are they tight enough to not slip on your hands?

I use 2 x FJ all weather gloves and they work fine. In fact I'd say they were better when wet than dry.

2 gloves is just plain wrong - man up all of you........................;)

MacWets are the bizz! Used them for two comps off the blue tees last summer, 1st round of club champ and a stableford. Helped me in dropping 2.5 shots in the space of 8 days :D

Seriously could not have done it without them!
