I have a pair of FJ Raingrip gloves and a similar pair of Glenmuirs.

With all the rain recently, they have had a lot of use and I admit that I have been a bit remiss about ensuring they are properly dried out afterwards, especially when i have changed gloves during the round... the really wet ones end up festering in the bag.
So they are a bit whiffy!!

At £20 a pair, I'm not about to bin them just cos the are a bit smelly.

Can i use gently handwash them or will soap ruin the wet grip properties?

The instructions which came with a fairly recent Glenmuir Macwet purchase mentions hand wash or 40* machine wash. I had it in my mind that the instructions for my old deceased Macwets mentioned plain water washing only but I might be mixing that up with the washing of waterproofs.

Thanks rosecott.
I no longer have the packaging and couldn't see any info in the gloves.

Waterproof jackets shouldn't be washed using detergent as this strips out the proofing
