A bit late to the discussion, but the night BEFORE Rooneys effort, a Macclesfield Town player did exactly the same thing against Barnet. Look who's getting all the headlines. Nowt difficult about whacking a bouncing ball into the net from the half way line. I've done it twice in games. Beckhams however..................different class.
