Sometimes maybe it’s just not the right thing to post something that’s a waste of time.
The German official had just lost a parent and an opposition player was comforting him - in a very cynical world and a sport that is all about money sometimes it’s nice to see a human side to it.
You just made yourself look even more of a plank.
Fixed that for you Phil.![]()
It’s sad that you all buy what the media push into you at times.
If VVD actually cared he could’ve done something more private. But instead he waits for the cameras and makes his move.
Think he’d have done it if they’d just conceded a last minute goal to lose? Not a chance.
Did you actually read how it came about or is it once again you looking for a reaction. It’s sad that you all buy what the media push into you at times.

I was thinking this to be honest. Yeah he said some nice words, but the way people have pushed this story, you'd think footballers were robots incapable of normal human empathy. I'm sure countless other people who weren't footballers said nice things to this man as well.Must’ve been very difficult to hug someone. Nonstory. Free PR
The difference is someone believing Van Dijk did it as a pr stunt and not the media pushing the story. 22 players on that pitch at the end, would you prefer the media headline was about 21 heartless prima donna’s ignoring a man who was upset?I was thinking this to be honest. Oh I wouldn't say he did it just for PR. I'm just saying we don't all need to stop what we're doing and give a round of applause just because a man showed normal human decency. Just because he's a footballer. The difference is someone believing Van Dijk did it as a pr stunt and not the media pushing the story. 22 players on that pitch at the end, would you prefer the media headline was about 21 heartless prima donna’s ignoring a man who was upset?
Hang on a minute, Slime posted the thread and gave it a simple thumbs up, who then comes along and turns it into something else and a decent thread turns sour.Oh I wouldn't say he did it just for PR. It's like that old Chris Rock comedy routine about 'certain people' expecting credit for things they're meant to do anyway. "Well I take care of my kids." "Yeah - you're supposed to!"
Or? Quick let’s all watch a woman in a wheelchair get attacked and then post how we did nothing about it on an internet forum!Seeing through a PR stunt means I see the bad in everything. There’s nothing like exaggerating your point to gain leverage, eh?!
Quick let’s all send Orikoru hate mail.
Ugh.
