I'm talking generally, not this specific incident.
I'm not recommending anybody throws a club btw. Simply saying if McIlroy sneezes too loud, there will be people coming on here to criticise.
And one person in particular (not you), seems obsessed to get the McIlroy jibes in, even when nobody else is talking about him.
I guess it comes with the territory of being the most high profile golfer in the world. People just can't stop talking about him, good or bad

Agreed,he gets all the plaudits when playing well,& rightly so.
I’ve not really got a problem with players throwing clubs,as long as it’s not in anyone’s direction,or causing any damage.
But smashing tee markers is pathetic & shows lack of respect imo.
What would happen if someone did it at a local course?

Two shot penalty imo.
Like racket abuse in tennis ,kicking the ball away in footy.
They need to stamp it out.
Not a great example for the young players learning the game.
