Lawrence pulling out a wood in the rough
proper Sunday golfer.
Adam Scott is going along nicely too . Been a good pairing to watch.Hovland - wow!
Quite a common feature at many courses around the world. There’s 3 greens at my course where about a third of the putting surface doesn’t hold the ball if rolling back.I was thinking that yesterday.
How many greens have vast areas that will never actually be putt from, as ball just rolls off green.
I wasIf people don't like Oakmont, turn over and watch the final of the Ladies Amateur Championship.
Great golf being played and Nairn looks gorgeous.
I have to admit that I'm finding watching it all a bit of a struggle.
I love the difficulty and don't mind who's on the leaderboard .................... it's the course.
I just find it so unattractive it's leaving me somewhat under whelmed.
If I ever had the chance to play it, I think I'd just drive right on by.
I’d like to see Hovland win it,but would also be happy if Scott won it.Adam Scott’s swing is always a thing of near perfection but it did seem somehow even more beautiful yesterday. Hoping he can do the business today.
He looks a bit too ragged for me.I’d like to see Hovland win it,but would also be happy if Scott won it.
Oracle - did you not mean orifice?Sky Sports golf commentary is still much better than several football commentators. Matterface and Drury are both absolutely awful - they make McGinley sound like an oracle.
I am just highlighting that if you think McGinley is bad, then I would suggest sitting down and listening to Matterface and Dixon. Bonus mention - Marlon King.Oracle - did you not mean orifice?

And that doesn't even go into the likes of Agbonglahor, O'Hara, etc on TalkSport...
My point is that golf has OK coverage. Better than football, imo. Not as good as cricket though, which is mostly superb.
Not sure what’s going on with Rory, but he really is acting like a petulant child.
‘Liked’ for the bit about cricket. IMO it’s always had good people talking about it, on TV/Radio broadcasts…perhaps less so now than before, but still very good
For golf I used to like Alex Hay and Peter Aliss tbh
