How many of us amateurs would throw in the towel after a quadruple bogey on the second hole? What a round for DJ with an 8 on the card

I'd certainly be goneHow many of us amateurs would throw in the towel after a quadruple bogey on the second hole?
Seems strange decision? The first groups tee off just after 9.30am their time, resulting in the later tee times for leaders. Thought they might get the early ones off at around 6am, try and fit in a bit better to the Western Europe market? Given the length of rounds, I'd have thought earlier tee times may even suit their east coast USA audience.Leaders tee off 23:40 (UK)
13 minute wait on the tee box… I’d be stuffing one in the trees
Did they say who the culprit / culprits was holding up the play?2 hours for Fowler to play 6 holes. What a joke.

I mean, it’s the US Open. I imagine. the TV slots they have are prime time slots which is great for advertisement dollars.Seems strange decision? At any rate, I won't be staying up to watch the leaders. I'll record it and watch it on fast forward in morning
After I while, I don't think anyone on the golf course was moving.Did they say who the culprit / culprits was holding up the play?
Radar (the commentator) was saying Day 1 was much quicker, with groups going round in 5hrs 15mins!After I while, I don't think anyone on the golf course was moving.
I watched Rory's featured group yesterday evening. A pretty early start off the 1st tee. They had to wait a while to play into the first green.
Christ alive, at their speed it'll be 5am before they've finished. Not sure I have the will power for that.Leaders tee off 23:40 (UK)
Just watching them talking about it. Bizarre to have a pitch and putt hole in a major. Could be fun with the pin position though.Yesterday they had a 297 yard par 3
Today they have a par 3 measuring a whole 81 yards....
