Upcoming live concerts.

I didn’t realise for over twenty years that it had all been recorded and was available on DVD. It’s well worth a watch. Michael Hutchence really knew how to work a crowd.

And the support line up was handy. Debbie Harry, Roachford, Hothouse Flowers and Jesus Jones.

Best gig I ever went to by an absolute country mile.
Defo was a great day, as you said, the whole line-up was stellar

This evening it's The Musical Box - a brilliant Genesis (Gabriel era) re-enactment band. They are much more than a tribute band - they re-enact the actual stage shows that Genesis put on back in the early-mid 1970s, including using the same lighting and effects as of the original show.

This evening is the Genesis 1972/73 show with the setlist from that show primarily tracks from Trespass, Nursery Cryme and Foxtrot - and that's what the band will do this evening - so we'll have the lead 'Peter Gabriel' costumed up as the Watcher of the Skies and the old man of Musical Box.

Plus as my lad is working on the show he has got me complementary 'best seats in the house' tickets...and as he's done a few tours with them and mentioned I'm a fan they said that he should bring me backstage after the show.

Should be cool...heading off to Guildford v shortly.

Was never the biggest Gabriel era fan although some of the more "popular" stuff from those albums I like. I do like a good backstage pass so make sure you enjoy it. Next up a trip on the tour bus although in my various cases not quite as rock and roll as I'd imagined or hoped for

We're going to see Seriously Collins - A tribute to Phil Collins & Genesis at the Pavilion Theatre In Worthing at the end of May.
Last time I was at a gig in Worthing it was Dr Hook, really good show. Here's hoping for the same. 👍

Was an excellent gig, also was able to meet a couple of the band backstage after the show and had a good chat with them. Nice guys - and great musicians. Their next tour will be different - likely comprising tracks from A Trick of the Tail; Wind and Wuthering, and Then There Were Three. Some absolutely great stuff on these three albums.

Back stage is always good fun. Aside from my friendship with Fish it was always great to hear them open the story box, usually around tours with other bands as musicians or singers in the group, or listening to their musical influences. Interesting to also see their squirreling habits from the back stage riders for taking back on the tour bus for later. Who goes for the wine/beer, who goes for the cheese, who takes all the crisps.

Oooooh that’s me getting tickets for that tour 👌

Went to see The Waterboys last night. 11th or 12th time I’ve seen them, tremendous as always.

Bizarrely, the new album (which is all about the life of actor Dennis Hopper) has a song about golf. They played it last night, bit of a surreal moment

Booked an open air cinema for the bank holiday weekend- Bohemian Rhapsody (film) followed by Queen in Montreal, interspersed with 80s disco and street food and bars.

Off to the Islington Assembly Rooms tonight to see Soft White Underbelly (aka Blue Oyster Cult),
Staying overnight and seeing BOC at the London Palladium on Sunday night.

Possibly their last UK shows

Going to be a good weekend 🤘🤘😎

Saw "Seriously Collins" tribute band last night.
Great night, lead singer very good, in fact all the band were very entertaining. Even the old boy in the dark glasses strumming his base guitar and hardly moving from his spot.
What I also liked was that everyone of them showed they were having a great time and thoroughly entertaining.
One of the best tribute bands I've seen.

Saw him last year, he was on the stage with another guy.He was down to earth and fantastic. Some of his stories were excellent.
Just seen one of my heroes, Francis Rossi from Status Quo doing a solo acoustic set of his songs from the Quo Songbook in Aylesbury

Great concert, did a meet & greet beforehand, what a nice guy.

😎😎
