Anyone got any bargains or great value deals?

Not necessarily staying at the golf club either as I'd be happy to stay in a different hotel.
Great courses and anywhere in the UK for a summer break.

Budget - £325-400 per person.

Cheers!

That budget will allow basically anything not on the open rota

Rent a house in Dornoch and play Royal Dornoch and Brora and then Boat of Garten on the road if coming that way

I started in North Berwick last year and played there and gullane (twice). Rented an apartment with mates and was inside that. This year we are doing Norfolk on a similar basis and similarly under budget.

We concentrate more on the golf than luxury accommodation, but that equation can be different for different tastes/abilities.

Doesn't st Andrews do a good value multi day pass?

I've organised 3 rounds of golf 2 nights hotel and 3 lots of food, (2x breakfast 1x dinner) including prize money for £150 each.

If you took Mansfield/Nottingham as an example you good probably get Worksop, Hollinwell (Notts) and Coxmoor within your budget and have some beer money too

or at the top end of your budget you could go to Norfolk and play links golf. Hunstanton, Sheringham and Cromer all about £80 each so enough left for your accomadation

just done the Old and new at St Andrews for less than that, so anything goes i would say, but few others are.

Castle Stuart do a Stay and play, which includes Royal Dornoch or Nairn in a 4 star hotel for around that with evening meals.

also seen Trump deals, Turnberry and Aberdeen S&P as well as Gleneagles.

My favourite venue for this is Dartmouth Golf and Country Club, now called the Dartmouth, fantastic course and hotel in the middle of the course so no need to travel anywhere although Dartmouth is worth a night out. Usually £150-180 per person.

Dorset Golf Resort have a good deal, £220 pp for 2 nights 3 rounds, staying in an 8-sleeper lodge house. Should be a bit of fun, BBQ outside, sauna in the house, balcony, all that jazz. We're off there in July, should be a good laugh.

They do 2 people lodge cabins right up to 8 or 10 sleeper ones.

Just booked to go play Machrihanish Dunes and Dunaverty at the end of October. For your budget you might even be able to fly to Campbeltown.

You'll struggle to find a more fantastic setting than Dunaverty

There are loads of places around the country

It all depends on if you want a hotel and courses on site then it's places like Celtic Manor and Belfy

But for me the best way to do it is pick courses within 30 mins of each other and build around that

You could do Bournemouth and play - Ferndown , Parkstone and Broadstone

Norfolk - Cromer , Sheringham and Hunstanton

Suffolk - Ipswich , Aldburgh , Thorpeness

Hampshire - Blackmoor , Liphook and Hindhead

South West - Staunton and RND

Leeds Area - Moortown , Alwoodly and Ganton

Notts Area - Sherwood and Notts

You could do Woodhall and play hotckin twice

And then in the NW you can take your pick

Kent - RCP , Princes and RSG

Woburn - all three courses

Scotland will be littered with choices

It shows how many great choices we have around the UK

Thanks to everyone for your recommendations. There's some great stuff there that I can go away and check out.
Not too bothered about accommodation as long as it's clean, though it would be a bonus to have a nice place.
Don't fancy hotel courses really and would rather focus on the great courses.
Done St Andrews and I was not too overwhelmed I must admit.

Thanks again all.

The disappointment was purely down to the condition, nothing else.
Unfortunately they were all receiving maintenance at a time it was not advertised as receiving maintenance. Very disappointed!

Would love to go back though.

Stay in Harrogate, hotel or serviced apt of which there are many. Play Oakdale, Knaresborough and Pannal all within a few miles of where you are staying. Three proper courses, proper clubs, friendly places and Harrogate is a lovely place at night. You can book it all yourself or there are local golf holiday companies that can book for you. I've used one on a number of occasions. With the money you have to spend you have quite a few options. Enjoy.

Cheers LT. Done those courses and thoroughly enjoyed them.
That’s just the type of place and courses I’d like too but as we’ve done them we’re looking for a new place.
Done plenty in Scotland too but the rest of England needs exploring now I think!
Bournemouth one really tickling my fancy at the moment.

Bournemouth one really tickling my fancy at the moment.

The green fees for the 'big 3' in Bournemouth are all around £80+ per round and there is plenty of cheap accomm in the area so you should be fine with your budget.
Some other decent cheaper courses as well that may be of interest, mainly Meyrick Park and Knighton Heath. Isle of Purbeck isn't far away either just a pain to get to. Lots of people like Remedy Oak although it is a bit of slog to get round.

Go to Southport. Pleanty of hotels, good night out. You've got Birkdale, Hillside, S&A, Formby, West Lancs or stay in Liverpool and look at Hoylake, Wallasey etc...

We've booked Burnham & Berrow, WSM & Enmore, 2 nights B & b - £220 each. That less than the green fees if paying separate. Plenty of deals to be had if you look around.
