Uber - the end?

Think this is underated about Uber is the ease of use abroad

So helpful if you don't speak the local lingo . Use your app to order a cab .. very useful
Definitely! We were in Ukraine a couple of years ago for a wedding and used it there. Ordered it from the hotel to the wedding venue on the Wifi, got in and didn't have to have the awkward patter explaining where to go or negotiating the price. Plus I think he forgot he was an Uber driver as he tried to do the old school taking us a really long route because we were tourists... when I saw the journey on my email receipt I simply complained via the app and got the half the fare refunded! Brilliant.

When we went Bulgaria we wanted to go out for an Indian on night (long story short 10 days all inclusive, had 2 nights off , steak and Indian, break it up a bit) found a restaurant online but the hotel staff and the cabbie didn't overly know where it was!! Just was a faff.
Uber does solve this.. enter postcode or whatever of where you want to go and just be taken there

Am seriously missing something here. We use Uber coz there cheap. We all agree on that. But Uber pay no NI, pension, holiday pay etc etc. Not to mention how much tax do they pay. Why? Charge a bit more and pay the above like an employer should. For years large companies have took the mick on paying taxes, pensions etc. Right decision for me.
