TV Series - What Are You Watching?

Thought I'd read there was, but apparently it's just a spin off thats being talked about.
Disappointed ☹️.
Still it's well worth a second viewing 👍
Mare of Easttown creator Brand Ingelsby discussed the show's future (via The Hollywood Reporter), revealing that he would love to see a crossover between his two acclaimed HBO shows: Task and Mare of Easttown. Like Mare of Easttown, Task, too, is a miniseries that earned immense acclaim after its release.

Similar to Mare of Easttown, Task also unfolds in Philadelphia. The two shows do not feature any explicit connections to one another, and Task unfolds more like a game of cat-and-mouse instead of being a whodunit like Mare of Easttown. However, owing to their shared setting and showrunner, it is hard not to see how their crossover could work incredibly well.

I have got Task recorded as it looks very good

High Potential. The most light weight, proposterous police/detective series and yet I binged the lot in 3 days. Just harmless fun and I really enjoyed it

Slow horses.
Watched 2 episodes.
Don’t get what all the fuss is about.
Is it a slow burner?
I've listened to all the Slough House unabridged audiobooks narrated by Sean Barrett. They are outstanding.
I tried to watch the TV version but couldn't get on with it and quit after 3 episodes. After all the detail and personality the characters are given in the books the TV versions seemed a bit thin.
Considering the rave reviews I might give it another try when I've had time to forget them.

I don't think TV or film can ever match a book. I remember watching the Jason Bourne movie and thinking the only similarity to the book was his name.

Weirdly, I watched The Bourne Identity last night. It's an excellent film that has aged well. Being made and set in the early 2000s I guess they had a bit of licence considering the book was written in the late 70s.
When I get back into reading I'll definitely do the books. I've owned them for over 10 years and haven't got around to them yet.

We have just started watching SH again from the beginning prior to catching up with the new series. Love it.

The books are that good that the film was initially a huge disappointment for me. Eventually enjoyed them as I just took them as different story.
