There have been quite a few Wham/George Michael "themed" programmes lately with the 40 year anniversary of Last Christmas. Love Wham. Love George (so so missed) so I've watched most and recorded them too.

The interraction between Pepsi and Shirlie is hilarious. Both so desperate to get their story of George and memories/recollections. It's a battle royale. Can't imagine that they like each other very much despite what's reported. Also can't help but think it says so much about George's generosity that they stayed around with him and Andrew for so long.

Just watched this two, last 3 episodes of the comeback were outstanding, the rest were average.
They got the characters spot on!
Not many programmes were the murderer is a hero and you end up cheering them on.🤷‍♂️

It has been reported the actors playing Beth & Rip have agreed to do a spin off.

I got that vibe about the girls. I think though they summed it up in they had front row seats to a prodigious talent and Andrew, who has his critics then and now is very modest in his contributions. He was a very supportive player and also the energetic personality that was the catalyst for a lot of the writing.
Yes I miss George my wife likes wake me up before you go go ( she isn’t a morning person) and mine was club Tropicana which kind of summed up my F1 career.. I never took it seriously I was just cruising and getting my drinks for free

Andrew is indeed very modest. Shirlie talks about being in Wham. Hmmm. Not sure about that!

George was such a talent and decent human being. It's so sad he's gone but also that his life was littered with sadness.

Have you seen the documentary about Paloma Faith … she had just had a baby and was being harassed to come back. Her manager kept telling her the public would forget her. It was disgusting .. I didn’t see the boy/girl bands one but I can imagine these show similar behaviour… it’s the parasites who cause the damage, I expect fame is also hard.
I remember being in the Ferrari Garage in Monza and they opened the shutter and Schumacher walked in the flashes were going off and the clicking was continuous… and this was his every moment outside of the paddock.
I think George struggled with that side and it’s completely understandable ☹️

Not seen it but the 3 part series Boybands Forever featured a lot about how they were treated as commodities. No care for their well being whatsoever. They were meant to love it but it was constant. One guy said he craved normal. Robbie Williams put an arm around him, seeing his very public struggles, and the guy ignored him, he craved normal and that wasn't. There has to be a limit as after all they're just human beings.
