Currently watching a fair few programmes (always the same this time of year) squeezed in amid the plethora of football being shown and the insistence of my wife of watching I’m a Celeb on a nightly basis, which usually makes me chuckle.

Yellowstone. Great show, but this series feels like there is a lot of filler. Will still be sad to see it end.

Landman. Effectively Yellowstone but set in an oil field, with more humour. Only a few episodes in, but has potential to be excellent.

Lioness. Good concept and watchable - but was talking to a mate and he agreed - none of the characters are likeable, which is odd.

Matlock. Wife’s choice and only one episode in. Felt like a formulaic American legal drama. But had an interesting twist that will make me go back.

Taskmaster. Just one episode left to watch of the latest series. I was dreading Rosie Jones being in it. However, she has surprised me. Little double act with Jack Dee.

Cobra Kai. Cheesy? Check. Bad acting? Check. Classic TV? Check!

Binged The Recruit. Pretty formulaic, but not the worst thing I’ve watched of late.

Fool Me Once takes that biscuit. Started ok but just fell into a hole somewhere. Typical Harlan Coben fayre with the worst ending ever. Bloody awful.

Started season 2 of Tulsa King last night, has Stallone had a stroke? He’s really slurring his words….😢

They really follow the same formula every time, and they always have an unsatisfactory ending. I've stopped watching them now, I just get annoyed by them.

We finished watching Schitt's Creek for the second time. Just masterful TV that.

So a new series was required. We tried episode one of 'Brassic' but my wife wasn't keen, so not sure we'll be able to persist with that one. I wasn't massively taken with it either, although I am a fan of Joe Gilgun (albeit he plays pretty much the same character in everything, ha). Found Michelle Keegan a tad annoying - she also plays the same character come to think of it.

Got a few other options to try, not really sure what to go for at the moment.

Do you have Disney? Abbott Elementary is very good. Not Dead Yet is quite sweet.

We have been watching Trying on Apple (free trial). That is very good, definitely worth a watch.

Lioness special opps.
Watched S1 & enjoyed it.
Nicole Kidman reminds me of the women that was involved with the Newcastle takeover.
Wonder if they use the same guy🤔

After Brassic didn't grab us, we tried Alma's Not Normal last night, and that didn't grab us either.

Gone for Man On The Inside tonight - new Ted Danson comedy. This seems a lot more promising. 👍🏻

The Dropout on Disney, true life series on the Theranos scandal, very good.

Enjoying Dune Prophecy as well but maybe not everyone’s cup of tea.
