TV Series - What Are You Watching?

Tonight.

Josh, Tasha, Matty and Dan.

I don't feel Dan could win the final, but I'll be sad to see him go, if that happens tonight.
Each of the other three could get the crown next week, but anyone can have-a-bad-one in the semi or the final.

Josh's calmness might pay off, now that the pressure is really on.

I've not heard or seen a leak on the outcome this year, "which is nice".

I loved Saku's cheeriness in the earlier rounds.

I have Tasha in the office sweep but I think Josh will win. He has become relentless and doesn't seem to get flustered. Anyone of them could win and I'd be okay with that. A nice bunch, have been from the start.

After two rounds, to me
it seems Dan and Josh are in front.
Tasha was unfortunate with her pastry and she and Matty are in competition for survival.
Hope Tasha can redeem herself in round 3. I think she deserves a place in the final for her performances over the previous shows.

By the same token - On Saturdays, should there be spoiler alerts on the footie thread for those who like to watch Match Of The Day without prior knowledge of the games?
TV is watched in different ways now. Sport is live, it is over every medium and nigh on difficult to avoid a result. TV programmes are watched live, on catch up for days after the event.

How long should we wait before we openly discuss a TV show such as this? I'd say 3-4 days but that is just me, it isn't in stone.

If you want to be the person who spoils a show for others, I think that would be a shame. Up to you. Alternatively, you can post your view and hide it under the spoiler option. It's there to use, why not use it?

It was a shame Tasha left but she had a bad couple of days, it was an easy decision. The Josh steamroller carries on.

The Met.

Real life documentary series.

Last night had two storylines, the first was a gang of burglars who were using excessive and unnecessary violence against elderly victims. The second story was online child abuse.

Pretty horrible stuff.

The wife said to me "Why do you like stuff like this?" It was a good question, I find myself by getting wound up by how horrible and evil some people are, I guess I just like to see them getting caught and punished.

I will certainly be aware of this in the future and would hate to spoil other people's enjoyment.

Bakeoff is recorded months earlier. The "live" broadcast to me is just like "live" sporting events that are commented on as they occur.
The excitement is there as it happens - just like the footie.
Commenting on it days later is not exciting at all.

If you don't want to know about it - don't read the threads - is an option for all of us.

But I won't do it again regarding the semis and finals of the elimination progs.
I hope everyone will follow these guidelines regarding Strictly.

After a few diversions here and there (for good reasons) we are back to S2 of Succession. Hopefully as it’s been and gone for most I‘ll be able to avoid spoilers…both on here and elsewhere 👍

The spoiler option allows you to do that though. We could have a full series of posts dissecting last night and no one who hasn't seen the show needs to read what we have put. It's a good tool, ideal for the tv thread in particular.

I am not sure you need to worry too much about Strictly spoilers. Not sure I've seen many posts about it on here. My wife has it on but I read a book or watch something else on my tablet whilst it is happening. Far too many have dance experience this year, it is not what the show is about for me. Hopefully Annabel Croft will win, that would be a victory for the glorious amateur.

How do you do the spolier thingy?

Just watched Bake Off. If the person leaving hadn't been the person leaving I wouldn't have watched the final...scraped through too often for me. As has one other who shall remain nameless as I don't know how to do the spoiler thingy. Hoping for one of the other two finalists to win :)

I had it spoiled totally randomly. A sporting club I follow is supported by a baker an so retweeted all the comments about last night.

Just to pick up on this. The thread is not a dedicated Bake Off one but a general TV one.

I will watch the final live next week as otherwise it's virtually impossible to avoid spoilers.

Type out what you want to say, then highlight that section. In the tab bar above, next to the picture, quote and then 9 block grid picture is 3 dots, more options. Click that and you see an eye with a line through it. Click that, that is the spoiler gizmo.

I think Josh is very good but I'm bored with the whole ' I'm doing this for my grandma' line. You can do that once, not every episode. Grump over.
