No, not for the usual programming issues but with the way it functions.
No doubt most have a TV that allows you to chose the display setting. No doubt most opt for a wide screen view.
Why then is the program that controls this function written so ineptly.
Is it so difficult for there to be a look up table that says ' TV display size 32 inch; enlarge by X%. 40 inch; enlarge by Y%'.

As it is I'm missing parts of the picture around the edges. Most times this is not a big issue but when players names, match scores, and other information is half missing it is just plain irritating.

End of moan

Ours has different settings like auto, 4:3, 16:9, widescreen and zoom, or something like that.

When it's on zoom it uses widescreen ratio but enlarges the picture so there are no black bits at the top and bottom. My daughter keeps putting it on zoom but as you say, you lose any text at the bottom of the screen.

I take it you've already had a play around with it to see what the others look like?

I have similar issues as Viscount. I have two TV sets, a 28" flat screen, and a 32" flat screen. Neither of them ever show the whole picture, no matter what mode I use. It has been annoying me for ages.

I am going to upugrade the 28 to a 50 this summer.

I am worried that even that won't ever show the whole of the picture. How big do you need to go?

50" is not big once you have got over the initial shock.

Id go 60" or larger if funds allow.

sorry got sidetracked at work, yes try the picture settings in the sky settings.
Off the top of my head i think there is an auto wide setting.
Easiest way to check if its worked is go to sky sports news and see if you can see all the banners on the sides with fixtures/ scores etc.
