Why is it that it's only Northerner's who harp on about a supposed noth/south divide? Since there appears to be a certain amount of generalisation about those who live south of the M25, perhaps it's because those of us who live south of the M25 don't want to talk about their whippets, cloth caps or how they fiddled the leccy (applying the same generalisation).
Since London is highly mutlicutural and lingual perhaps there are those who don't speak that well in English, or have a want to socialise in it. Of course we all know how xenophobic those who live north of the M25 are, the papers and tv say so (another generalisation).

I'm not from the South, but I do have to agree with them on this. Why the hell do I want to sit next to a random person and listen to their idle chit chat. If I've just woke up and on my way to work, I really do not care about how little johnny is doing in school and I was alive yesterday and have eyes in my head, so I'm quite aware of how bad the rain was.

I had an incident a few weeks ago in the BMW stealership. Been at work all night on night shift and took my car in first thing to get checked out. 12-15 chairs in the lounge area, only 4 of us sat in there. Why on earth did he feel the need to come and sit next to me and tell me all about his collection of old native arrow heads and show me pictures of them. I've not been to sleep all night and was just trying to chill out.

That doesn't count. I could write a blog that tells people to chat to others and give everyone £5 as they board the train.

catch an off peak train and its full of chatters. but at 6:40 am you needed to be quiet as i may be trying to sleep
