it's a bit of fun and not to be taken seriously (you know who you are:whoo:)...........came about at a discussion at the range.

Take 100 balls at the range.............take all your normal shots apart from putting obviously, and take a note of the really bad shots (thins, fats, J arthurs, duck hooks etc etc) all the ones that would really muck up your score in a medal.

Add them up..........

how close is that number to your current handicap? OR how close is that number to what you go round over par? :mmm:

I hit 100 balls today at the range. NOT EVEN CLOSE !

you see golf is 2 bad shots one good shot and a tap in still makes a par.

That might be true when you are off single figures but at my level it's more likely to be wild slice off the tee, duffed recovery, pulled approach, chip on and then 3 putt for a triple bogey 7.

half the battle with golf is limiting the damage of a poor shot. if you can keep the ball in play it should be bogey at worst.

I went to the range on Friday. Based on that display I am a low teens range player, 22 in the real world. On this occasion I hit 85% clean, straight shots, the best I have hit the ball for 12 months or more. Why? Relaxed, no pressure, no OOB, no trees, no card. Oh the frustration. I am out on the course this afternoon, it will be interesting to see how many shots I can carry over.

I went to the range yesterday and "hit" 75 balls, going purely on shanks my handicap would have been around 36.
(I hit a few drivers in there otherwise it would have been closer to 50.)

I hate golf.
