trolleys in winter

do (some) clubs ban the use of trolleys in winter? im considering asking father christmas for a Powakaddy Twinline 3, but dont want to ask him if clubs in general ban trolleys in winter. im not sure if i have read/heard/mad up this, so not too sure.

I don't know any that ban them but you normally need to use hedgehogs on the wheels so I would buy some of those as well

At our place there is no restriction at all with the exception that you get "steered" away from the green a bit quicker.

Best thing is to ask at your own place and find out for sure.

We have to use hedgehogs from early November to late March.
Very occasionally there is a total ban if it's extremely wet.

My previous two clubs,had a trolley ban from november to march,but there was a medical exemption in place for those who supplied a doctors certificate.
It always amazed me how almost all the established members had back problems,even those in there 20's

Courses do ban trolleys, it's true. Some only when really wet, other's send you into the rough, it depends.
I carry from Nov-March anyway with about 7 clubs or so. Saves the worry of turning up with a huge bag (not that I play with the missus ) and not getting on with yer trolley.

Some clubs send you in to the rough to play your shots.

I think GK do a version for their wheels and I'm sure other manufacturers do for theirs. My club tends to ask for hedgehogs between November and Febraury but I also tend to leave a carry bag in the locker in case it is too wet and there is a trolly ban

And they;re ludicrously expensive for what they are. 15 quid for a circle of rubber with studs on it....!!!

That's why I'm carrying this Winter.
