Feeing off at 8.20am, got to register at 7.20 and it'll take 45 minutes to get there. Is it worth going to bed!!??

Feel like a kid on Christmas Eve.

Any advice for the first tee (apart from wear a nappy)?

Played the Trilby Tour last year at the Oxfordshire....I followed a guy on the first tee, who hook it left into the ruff.....I just lined up and closed my eyes, it was the best shot of the day! Just relax, take it all in and enjoy yourself,it's a fantastic day..... :)

Thanks guys! Shitting bricks about the first, just hope the camera is broken. :)

Remember they always take the picture after you have hit the ball. Where ever the ball goes, hold the follow through and pose like a pro. ;)

Might not work for the tv camera though. :( :(

The red wine is helping........

take it with you and you won't give a [****]...down half the bottle walking up to the tee and John Daly the mothuf***er 350 with a power draw, then direct your best vicky at the camera.

You'll make the telly at least....

You will have a great time, it is very nerve racking on the first tee especially when the starter calls your name and then tells you that you are being watched by over a million sky sports viewers. Just relax, swing easy yourself and it will be fine.

I didn't find the first shot any worse than any other first shot. Just swing smooth with a nice tempo. Only those who qualify get shown on the tv program anyway, so if you hit a bad one and it does get shown you'll be through to the final :)

Last year we were given a goody bag that had a miniature of Jack Daniels in it. You could always empty it before you tee off :D

JD at 8am? Now we're talking!! Right, off to unleash hell, I'll let you know how I get on......

What's the trilby tour?

Just an amateur comp. There are a few qualifiers then the top 10 from each one play in the final.

Max handicap 18, and it's played off 3/4.

It's set up like a pro event with hoardings on every tee, a big scoreboard near the clubhouse/18th green, and Sky Sports cameras there filming it.

It's quite expensive (£250) but included in that are your green fees, trousers, shirt, trilby, belt, caddy's boiler suit, and bag.

Also breakfast on arrival, goody bag, and lunch afterwards.

I played in it last year at Bearwood Lakes. It was a very good day and I'd like to do it again sometime, but maybe when putting on fast greens doesn't kill me!
