Trackman v Flightscope

The problem with this review is that he is assuming that the trackman he is comparing the flightscope to is correct. There is no control sample to compare both systems to.

He does state in the review that the figures on Flightscope didn't represent the strikes made on the ball, based on his professional experience.

If I'd have been fitted with Flightscope after reading this I would be very worried.......

What is the launch monitor that they use on Sky golf in the shot centre ?

That was an interesting read.... scary.

Not that I lke to get technical... :mmm: .. but if you're being told that your getting 5,000 spin when it's really 2,700 then you're up the creek without a paddle

I've only been on a trackman and it said I had 5k plus backspin on the driver so the chap put the ball forward, adjusted the clubface and slightly adjusted my stance. Next ball the spin showed it was down to 2400rpm and I'd gained 30plus yards. The flight visually looked better and when I started using the new setup on the course I could see the difference it had made. I've never been on a flightscope so can't compare but the trackman seemed to do exactly as it says.

Did you SKY the first shot? :D

5,000 with a driver is immense! My old Titleist 983K (I think) used to get me to 3,800 and you could hear the ball hisssss as it was struck.

Didn't sky it but it did have a low to high trejectory that the guy said was killing my distance. I have never had a problem getting spin on a ball with any club which is fine for shots into a green but with a driver it's devastating. I was amazed it was such a simple and quick fix to get the spin down producing a great trejectory.
