I wonder if any tour players are reading this thread and thinking "Hmmmm, handicap golfers hit it off the deck, maybe I should do it too"

I tend to always use a tee when teeing off with an iron on short holes while my partner feels it will help him improve his fairway irons shots if he tees off without a tee.
While I agree with his view in theory, I find I hit far better shots using the tees, so why disadvantage myself.
We are poor players and I would think most mid to low handicappers would never use a tee with an iron - But is this the case?
This must be a record, I've never known a thread where so many people have agreed with LiverpoolPhil![]()
Tee every time. If Jack Nichlaus says tee it up every time, and he's the best golfer ever, I'll take his advice.
i would use a tee for all woods. But for irons I wouldn't, why, because I can control the height and spin better from the deck.If you had the opportunity to tee up all shots all the way round, would you do it???
I certainly would, why? Because it gives me an advantage, so why not use one on the tee?.

There is no right answer here, it depends on the golfer and their swing.
Sorry I wasn't ha ha I edited Phils reply a bit
