have just ordered some as 118golf have them on sale for 26.99, so i thought id give them a try as i needed something a bit softer than srixon soft feels, which is all i have except one of those cally tour iz from the test, are they any good, do people use them, in terms of feel spin, distance, how they cut up, etc etc?

thanks

I liked them - firmer than the red and didn't cut up too much. Great ball in the wind (best I've used) and a good all rounder. Prefer the Pro v in terms of spin but the best ball I've tried recently is the Bridgestone RXS

I use them when the greens are holding and the TP Reds when I need a bit more spin when the greens are firmer. They won't feel softer then your Srixons though, they have a firmer feel to them but they do spin and play well.

They're not particularly soft, being the PRoV1x equivalent, rather than TM Red which is the Pro V1 equivalent.

I didn't like them, but then I don't like V1x either, prefer the softer ball, and if that's what you're after as you say, think you bought the wrong ball mate.

I believe you will find that the Srixon Soft Feel (my Winter ball, cheap as chips yet superb feel)has a softer feel to it than the TP Black.

I bought a dozen TP Black at the start of the year also because they were going for £26 a dozen and I just don't particularly rate them.

On the other hand I cant fault the Soft Feel for value and performance, a great ball.
